"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."

Emily Bronte (via speaktolive)

She feels she is completely lost, and something strange is going on. She’s been like this for far too long…it’s getting worse and worse. She hasn’t slept in ages. She can feel something always right behind casting a shadow on her mind. But she knows she has to hang on.

Her thoughts are dying out, and her last thought is just her name. It’s all that remains.

She can feel them coming, soon she will be one of them.

On the whole idea that evil is a point of view, It simply is. It depends on the viewpoint of the person. For example, Say you catch someone stealing, It’s obvious the person is breaking the law, But you need to look at the person doing it. Maybe the person is neglected by their parents, maybe they haave no money and are desperate? What the aim is, is to get the player to think twice before automatically assuming someone or something is evil or bad.

We know who it is we want

we have collective mind

we don’t miss a single step

we’re always right behind

we know we serve someone else

we have swallowed our pride

we march to this tune of loss,

we take this in our stride.

A couple of games I can say heavily influenced us on making the choice based systems and the whole morality issue would have to be skyrim. Skyrim is an RPG that was released recently, and it’s so cleverly designed that each player will have their own experience from it and choose who is good or bad on their own terms. For example, Ryan in our team seems to like the rebellion leader in it, because he is doing good for his people and will stand up to others, I on the other can see he isn’t as selfless as he may seem and is only doing it for power.

This type of game character design is vital due to the fact you can believe these people are real, because they each have their flaws and virtues, it is however up to the player to decide if their virtues out way their flaws.

We’ve decided the main character will be a smartly handsome devil

Note the phrase handsome devil.

‘The guy you love to hate or hate to love. Sometimes, it’s even both.’
